When editing a video, you can add all sorts of effects to make it perfect. You can add filters, stickers and any other video editing tools. But, even after adding all these effects, you may still feel like the video is missing something.

Adding the slow motion effect is a feature that could give your Android videos that finishing touch you’ve been looking for. With the following apps you can add the slow-motion effect and other must-have features.

1. VivaVideo: Free Video Editor

VivaVideo is a free video-editing app that offers a large variety of features (including the slow-motion effect). You can either add the slow-motion effect to an already existing video or record a new one.

Under the “Clip edit” option you’ll find the slow-motion effect. It features a slider where you can decide how slow you want the video to be. Other great features include adding a theme that adds music and effects to your videos.

You can also add text, filters, stickers and other small effects such as stars and falling balloons. Under the music tab you can add music and decide how much audio or music you want the video to have.

2. Slow Motion FX

Slow Motion FX is a great app to try if you only need an app for the slow-motion effect. That is the only feature this app has to offer, and it can complement your current video editor if it lacks this feature.

This app only works in landscape mode and allows you to add slow-motion to a video from your gallery or record a new one. If you decide to record one, the feature will be added once you’ve recorded the video. You won’t actually record the video in slow motion.

Before the app processes your video, you can use the slider to trim the video. This is a great option if you only want to highlight a particular part of a video.

3. Action Director

Action Director also gives you the basic video-editing options you would expect. You can do things such as trim, add stickers, filters, and add audio.

It gives you audio options such as fade in/out, sound mixing and an option to include the original audio. The app can work in either portrait or landscape mode; just tap on the landscape button in the upper-right corner.

In the Action tab you can have a particular part of the video repeat itself as many times as you want. You also have a speed slider so the video can play as slow or as fast as you want. You can even make the video play in slow-motion in reverse!

4. Videoshop – Video Editor

VideoShop allows you to create videos with either video or pictures you have in your device’s gallery. Both are separated into different sections for an easy find, and if you create a video with images, the trim and speed features will be grayed out.

This video editor doesn’t have special effects like the others, but it does have the basic video-editing tools. You can resize your video, add text, add a transition, rotate, copy, and change the video orientation.

5. Slow Motion Frame Video Player

Slow Motion Frame Video Player automatically organizes your videos. Unlike all the apps on the list, this app doesn’t give you the option to save the video.

This app is useful if you only want to show someone how funny something looks in slow or fast motion but don’t want to make any permanent changes to the video.

The app is very easy to use since the only buttons you’re going to need are to the right side. Tap the plus sign to speed up the video and the minus button to slow it down.

Conclusion

The slow-motion effect can really improve your videos. With the above apps you can add slow motion to make them more interesting. Do you regularly add slow-motion to your videos? Leave a comment and let us know.
