The wait is finally over as Baldur’s Gate 3’s early access is out now. Developed and published by Larian Studios, the completed version of Baldur’s Gate III is yet to be released. How to Free Lae’zel in Baldur’s Gate 3?
Once you have completed the initial tutorial level and reached to the prologue proper, you can explore a ravaged beach and get some companions to join your party. One of the companions is Lae’zel, whom you have already met while the mindflayers’ ship.

It totally depends on you how you deal with enemies but you must keep in mind that you will have to free Lae’zel from hanging wooden cage. In order to do so, you should have a bow. If your character does not have any bow, you can get one from the ground nearby.
After getting a bow, you simply head over to the cage and use your cursor to hover over the base of the cage. As soon as you get closer to the cage, your cursor turns into a mini bow icon, indicating that you can now shoot it. Click on it to shoot it, it is likely that you will have to shoot it twice or thrice to break the base.
Notably, the moment you break the base, Lae’zel will to fall to the ground and suffer a bit of damage. However, if you already have Gale in your party, then don’t worry, he will reduce her damage by casting a spell on her.
From that point, you will be able to talk to Lae’zel and decide whether you want to bring along with you as a companion in your party and hunt for a cure together.
