Electronic Arts has provided both the minimum and recommended Battlefield 3 system requirements which includes information on what operating system, CPU, memory, and graphics card are required.

All are important to look at and compare to your system especially if you want to get the most out of the game. Running games on PC hardware that is below the recommended minimum system requirements can cause a number of issues during gameplay. This can include graphics stuttering, inability to render all objects in a 3D environment, low frames per second, and much more.

To confirm that your PC gaming rig is up to the task of running Battlefield 3, a good option use the CanYouRunIt utility. This site will scan your PC hardware and match it up against the official, published Battlefield system requirements.
