While the answer to this does hold personal preference, gameplay style, and the situation in which you are going to Rage. However, you also need to understand what each rage does and how they work in the game. In this guide, we will show you how the Spartan Rage works and we will explain each of the three types. While we are at it, you can also see our personal favorite among the three.

Which is the Best Spartan Rage in God of War Ragnarok?

As mentioned earlier, there are three Spartan Rage in the game, Fury, Valor, and Wrath. While Fury is the nostalgic one for most fans and the reason why many choose it, the other two are indeed quite useful for Kratos. Since the situation may require you to use another one of the Spartan Rage, you can understand each of them below.

Before we go into which is the best Spartan Rage in God of War Ragnarok, here’s what each of them does:

  • Fury – Fury is the classic Spartan Rage that you have been using by pressing R3 + L3 on your controller. Kratos will burst through enemies with this and regenerate some health along the way by landing blows.
  • Wrath – Wrath will consume a chunk of the Rage bar and will allow Kratos to charge enemies with the weapons currently used. This deals a huge amount of damage and weapon effects along with health regeneration for killing enemies. This is the best Spartan Rage in God of War Ragnarok according to our preference.
  • Valor – Valor is probably the toughest one to master as it will require an element of timing. While you get some health back if you do not time it right, doing it right before getting hit, you will negate the attack, get more health regenerated, and even get a melee attack bonus.

That’s all there is on the Best Spartan Rage in God of War Ragnarok. While you are here, make sure you check out our GoW Wiki for more Ragnarok guides with Gamer Tweak.
